The Arapahoe County Public Airport Authority Board (ACPAA) anticipates receiving a Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) and Infrastructure Pilot Program Grant distributed through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). AIP Grant 3-08-0029-063-2024 includes the purchase of an electric vehicle SUV and an electric vehicle charging station.

This was presented to the Board at their meeting on September 3, 2024. Background and Discussion:
The Airport Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) and Infrastructure Pilot Program improves airport air quality and facilitates use of zero emissions technologies at airports. The program allows airport sponsors to use AIP funds to purchase ZEVs and to construct or modify infrastructure needed to use ZEVs.

AIP Grant 3-08-0029-063-2024 includes the purchase of an electric vehicle SUV and electric vehicle charging station.

At the August 8, 2024 ACPAA Board Meeting, Airport staff will recommend conditional approval of AIP Grant 3-08-0029-063-2024.

Fiscal Impact: The total cost of this project is $102,738.00. AIP grant funds for 3-08-0029-063-2024 will cover 90% ($92,465) of the cost of the federal project; the Airport Authority will be responsible for the remaining 10% ($10,273) match which is included in the 2024 budget....
