Purpose and Request:

The Board of County Commissioners is requested to adopt a resolution approving an amendment to the Police Traffic Service Campaign (PTSC) Grant and authorizing the Arapahoe County Sheriff to sign the amendment on behalf of the County.

Background and Discussion: The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) was awarded an amendment to the PTSC grant for the development and execution of impaired driving enforcement for the term of October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025.
Alternatives: The alternative is not to accept this grant and absorb the cost of officer’s overtime.
Fiscal Impact: The grant will cover $174,960.94 allowing traffic deputies to focus on traffic safety and enforcement to include public education. This is a grant funded by CDOT utilizing federal funds.
