Purpose and Request:

Arapahoe County Public Health will be vacating their Englewood Office location and relocating to Arapahoe Plaza building’s first floor. This space was previously occupied by FFM, who moved to the Lima campus in 2025. The new names for conference rooms have been created, and we are requesting BOCC review and approval of suggested names for this project.

Alignment with Strategic Plan: Sustainable Growth and Infrastructure - Maximize use of County facilities and assets.
Background and Discussion: This new location will house approximately 30 staff members from Sexual Health, Harm Reduction, Immunizations, WIC, Maternal Child Health, and Informatics departments. This space has offices, labs, and two conference rooms. In early 2025, the Board approved new conference room names for Lima Plaza in coordination with the transition of Public Health to that location. Those names were selected in accordance with the theme of Colorado wildflowers. Keeping alignment with that theme, the proposed names for conference rooms are: Primrose (north conference room) and Blue Sage (south conference room).
Alternatives: Alternatively, the BOCC could elect to not approve the name change and keep the current naming theme of Colorado wild animals (Lynx and Bison). If these names are not approved, we will work to provide alternatives.
Fiscal Impact: Cost of room signage is already built into the current space consolidation project.

Staff Recommendation: Staff recommend the approval of proposed conference room names.
Concurrence: Facilities and Fleet Management was included in this recommendation.
