Staff will provide an overview of the evaluation process for signature events and goals for 2025 events.

Background and Discussion:
Staff has had a successful year with the 2024 signature event lineup package. Evaluating the events from multiple angles staff has come to the recommendation to not continue with pictures on the plains and the 5k event for 2025. 2025 signature event goals are as follows:
• Engage the community with affordable events year round
• Create exposure for Open Space/Fairgrounds and facility
• Create fun family friendly events
• 80% cost recovery goal
• Engage county department partnerships and engagement
2025 Lineup:
• Chalk Lines & Vines - May 2025
o High-class wine and chalk art festival, featuring a wine-tasting tour of Colorado’s best wines, gourmet food selections, chalk muralists and live entertainment - set against the colorful backdrop of the Front Range and Eastern Plains.
• Treat Street- October 2025
o A fall event that offers trick-or-treating and spooktacular family fun!
• Visit the Village- December 2025
o Holiday themed event offering vendors, entertainment, and family fun!
Staff will review the 2024 lineup and present the proposed 2025 lineup. Staff will also review in greater detail the specific event proposed for 2025.
Fiscal Impact: The budget for the signature event lineup is approximately $130,000 with a cost recovery goal of 80% historically. Original cost recovery goals were 40%. Staff will continue to evaluate operations and costs to continue with an 80%+ cost recovery goal.
Alternatives:
1. Proceed with 2025 Signature Event lineup as proposed.
2. Host no Signature Events for 2025.
3. Host a modified Signature Event lineup other than as proposed.
