The purpose of this study session is to provide an update on federal advocacy activities to the Board of County Commissioners.

Alignment with Strategic Plan: Good Governance - Proactively advocate for the County's needs in legislative solutions.                     

 

Background and Discussion: As part of its annual adoption of legislative principles for the forthcoming year, Arapahoe County established several federal priorities in November 2025. Selected to serve as the County’s federal lobbyist following a competitive solicitation process in December 2024, Squire Patton Boggs will continue to advocate for the agency’s federal legislative principles in 2026. On a monthly basis, Squire Patton Boggs will provide an update on federal activities, status on advocacy efforts to date, and next steps.
