The purpose of this study session is to provide an update on federal advocacy activities to the Board of County Commissioners.

Alignment with Strategic Plan: Good Governance - Proactively advocate for the County's needs in legislative solutions.                     

 

Background and Discussion: Arapahoe County established several federal priorities in November 2024 as part of its annual adoption of legislative principles. The County selected Squire Patton Boggs to serve as the agency’s federal lobbyist in December 2024 following a competitive solicitation process. 

On a monthly basis, Squire Patton Boggs will provide an update on federal activities, status on advocacy efforts to date, and next steps.
