The purpose of this agenda item is to present an overview of the ACPH Tobacco Prevention and Control Program, within the Partnerships, Planning, and Community Health Promotion Division.

Background and Discussion: ACPH’s Tobacco Prevention and Control Program is funded by grants from the State Tobacco Education and Prevention Partnership (STEPP) through the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE). STEPP was created under Colorado Revised Statute Section 25-3.5-804 to support tobacco education programs aimed at reducing tobacco use initiation and promoting cessation among youth and adults. This informational presentation will provide an overview of ACPH’s tobacco and vaping prevention and control work. No action is requested of Board of Health members.
Fiscal Impact: The program is grant-funded and involves no fees or billing for services.
