Background and Discussion: Colorado statue requires that public health agencies conduct an assessment and planning process that results in the creation of a comprehensive community health assessment and a new community health improvement plan every five years. In response, 21 staff from across ACPH have contributed over the last 9 months to the creation of our 2023 Arapahoe County Community Health Assessment, which will be available in February. Highlights from the report - including the results of input surveys and discussions with over 1,000 residents, partners, and county staff - will be presented at Board of Health meetings in early 2024.

Fiscal Impact: No immediate, direct fiscal impact. Findings from the Community Health Assessment will inform the selection of 5-year priority areas during Quarter 1 of 2024. Staff and Board of Health members can anticipate the need to identify resources to plan, coordinate and track initiatives to impact the resulting priorities.
