Purpose and Request:
recommended action
The Sheriff’s Office requests the Board of County Commissioners to approve and authorize the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners to sign the new pricing supplement for the continued use of TransUnion software (TLO).

Background and Discussion: TransUnion software, also known as TLO, is a search tool that the Investigations Section of the Sheriff’s Office has used for several years to assist in locating suspects involved in criminal activity. The new pricing supplement submitted to the agency by TransUnion locks in pricing for the next three years which would likely be a tremendous cost saving measure for the county given the large increases in software services that we face year to year.
Alternatives: The alternative is to deny this request. Doing so would mean that we would no longer have this valuable, and relatively inexpensive, resource to help track down the suspects who victimize the citizens of Arapahoe County.
Fiscal Impact: Continued pricing for TLO is locked in at $175.00/month for the next 36 months.
Alignment with Strategic Plan:
☒Be fiscally sustainable
☒Provide essential and mandated service
☒Be community focused
Concurrence: The Public Safety Bureau, Investigations Section Chain of Command support the use of this agreement.
Resolution: Attached is a copy of the draft resolution.
