Request the Board of County Commissioners to approve and authorize the Chair to sign the 2025 Agreement for Law Enforcement Services for the Town of Foxfield, CO.

Background and Discussion: Historically, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office has provided law enforcement services within the boundaries of Town of Foxfield, CO. In the course of providing law enforcement services to the citizens of Town of Foxfield, CO, a working relationship has been established between the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of the Town of Foxfield. The type of law enforcement services provided by the Sheriff Office within the boundaries of Foxfield are similar to the law enforcement services provided in unincorporated areas of the County of Arapahoe and include law enforcement communication center services, but do not include enforcement of municipal ordinances. The fees paid by the Town of Foxfield for law enforcement services are calculated using the current Arapahoe Law Enforcement Authority mill levy of 0.004982 on Foxfield’s assessed property value.
Alternatives: If the Board declines this agreement, the Town Council of Foxfield would have to initiate a search for another law enforcement agency to provide these services within their boundaries.
Fiscal Impact: This Agreement for Service will generate $138,019.83 in revenue to the Arapahoe Law Enforcement Authority.
Alignment with Strategic Plan:
☒Be fiscally sustainable
☒Provide essential and mandated service
☒Be community focused
Concurrence: The Town of Foxfield concurs with this agreement.
