The purpose of this drop-in is to request a fixed asset number to implement upgrades to the Lincoln Fluid Controller System to support the transition of the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office.

Background and Discussion: The County uses the Lincoln Fluid Controller System to dispense all required oils and fluids necessary to maintain the County's equipment This electronic system, which relies on internet protocols (IP) addresses to communicate, tracks all oils and fluids dispersed so the fleet services division can accurately charge back services to the respective offices and departments on a monthly basis and provides data to inform replacement cycle considerations for county equipment.
As part of the 18th Judicial District's transition to a single-county office, it was determined that IP addresses and subnet overlap exist between the District's and County's network - specifically with the Lincoln Fluid Controller System. Typically, the solution would be to adjust the IP address; however, because the System reached its end of useful life (10 years) and hasn't had software updates/technical support since the end of 2022, the county is unable to implement this solution within the current system.
