Purpose and Request:

The purpose of this request is to grant the Chair signature authority for the 2025 Aid to Agencies safety net awards.

Background and Discussion:

The Aid to Agencies program is a grant program developed to financially support non-profit organizations that address service gaps within the county. Safety Net awards fund critical and essential services that the County is unable to provide. Funds for the Safety Net awards were approved during the adoption of the 2025 budget.

 

Staff recommends approval of the following grants in the following amounts:

Staff requests that the Board adopt a resolution authorizing the Chair to sign the 2025 Aid to Agencies safety net award agreements in total amount of $1,550,603.00.

 

Alternatives: The Board could decide not to fund these agreements.  

 

Fiscal Impact: The Safety Net awards total $1,550,603.00.
