Alignment with Strategic Plan: Good Governance - Deliver mandated and essential services with excellence.

Background and Discussion: Ron Carl, County Attorney, will retire from his position with Arapahoe County on May 1, 2026.  During the recruitment process for the County’s next County Attorney, the County will need an individual to assume responsibility for the functions of the County Attorney. The BOCC has identified John Christofferson as that individual, to be effective March 1, 2026. As part of granting all requisite authorities as the Acting County Attorney, this acting role will have the signing authority of the County Attorney.
