Purpose and Request:

recommended action

The purpose of this request is to obtain authorization for the Chair of the BOCC to sign the Separation and Release Agreement for Jennifer Roylance pursuant to the terms of the agreement contained therein.

Alignment with Strategic Plan: Economic Resilience and Stability - Support long-term economic resilience through responsible fiscal and investment strategies.                      

 

Background and Discussion: The Agreement relates to the elimination of a position in the Clerk and Recorder’s Office due to reorganization of those duties to the HCM system, effective May 1, 2026, a review of which was previously provided to the Board in an executive session. This agreement was the result of a negotiated agreement.

 

Alternatives: None.

 

Fiscal Impact: According to the Agreement, Jennifer Roylance will receive a severance payment equal to 8 week’s gross salary. The fiscal impact will not be significant.
