Background and Discussion: Throughout 2024 trial period and thus far in 2025, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office has had 25 mounted FLOCK license plate reader cameras and one mobile camera in use. The camera system was permitted through Arapahoe County/City of Centennial and, over the past year and a half, has proven very valuable in locating stolen vehicles, wanted subjects and even endangered persons in our service area. Fiscal Impact: The initial cost is $62,500.00 for cameras and installation, with an ongoing additional annual cost of up to $52,000. For 2025, this cost would be prorated to begin after required permitting and installation. This would then be combined into a single annual invoice for $127,000. Per Board direction, ACSO will request use of forfeiture funds for the expansion costs and return to the Board with a proposal for ongoing funding.

Alternatives: The alternative is for the Sheriff's Office to not expand the FLOCK...
