The Board is requested to ratify Sheriff Brown’s signature on the 2025-26 Emergency Management Performance Grant application and acceptance, as discussed at the December 16, 2024, study session.

Background and Discussion: On December 16, 2024, during a regular study session the Board of County Commissioners unanimously authorized the Sheriff to sign the application and acceptance form as part of the 2025-26 Emergency Management Performance Grant. The grant was subsequently submitted via the State of Colorado’s online portal. The signature, per the study session, requires ratification at the next scheduled public hearing.
Alternatives: None.
Fiscal Impact: The grant allows the County to apply for and accept the Emergency Management Performance grant estimated at approximately ~$85,000.
