Alignment with Strategic Plan: Good Governance - Operate in transparent, inclusive, and communicative manner.

Background and Discussion: The intent of the CSU Extension Advisory Committee was to serve as a mechanism for soliciting public feedback on CSU program priorities. The Advisory Committee was also envisioned to serve as a support base for CSU Extension programs and staff.  CSU staff regularly engages feedback from community partners, non-profits and the general public through other committees and routine work with the public. Existing structures and connections meet the need intended by the CSU Extension Advisory Committee.  The Committee is not required pursuant to CSU’s Extension program, nor is it required pursuant to Arapahoe County’s MOU with CSU governing the Extension Program.

Alternatives: The Board could choose not to dissolve the committee.
