The purpose of this study session is to update the Board of County Commissioners on options for self-insurance, insurance premiums, and coverage for the 2025 insurance renewal.

Background and Discussion: Insurance premiums for the County have increased significantly over the last five years so alternative strategies for cost savings and coverage were analyzed. Finance and the County Attorney’s Office will discuss options for decreasing premiums costs, self-insurance, the County’s insurance deductibles and estimated cost of 2025 insurance renewal.
Fiscal Impact: Any fiscal impact will depend on cost of insurance premiums and self-insurance options. Options for premiums and coverage will be presented during the study session.
