This item is to request approval from the Board to ratify the signature of Clerk Lopez on the agreement with Advanced Network Management (ANM) for the purchase, installation, and maintenance of 35 ballot drop box security cameras. The Board heard this item at a drop in on May 10, 2022 (see attached hyperlink), and approved it to move forward.

Background and Discussion: The Clerk & Recorder's Office previously updated the Board on a pilot project it completed in 2021 for replacement of the ballot drop box security cameras. The Clerk & Recorder's Office, in collaboration with the IT Department, developed the Ballot Box Security Camera Project that was presented to the Executive Budget Committee as part of the 2022 Budget review process and then subsequently approved by the Board as part of the 2022 Adopted Budget. The Clerk needs signature authority to enter into an agreement for this Project. To keep the current cost estimates, the Clerk needed to sign the Agreement prior to this General Business meeting. At the May 10, 2022 Drop-In, the Board approved Clerk Lopez signing the agreement and directed her to bring ratification of her signature forward for formal approval.
Fiscal Impact: There is no new fiscal impact. The cost for the purchase, installation and maintenance of the 35 cameras was already approved as part of the 2022 Budget.
