The purpose of this study session is to propose to the Board an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with The City of Centennial for a Centennial Homeless Liaison position.

Background and Discussion: The City of Centennial, with the support of the Mayor and City Council, approached Arapahoe County to propose a shared position that would focus on addressing the specific needs related to homelessness in the City of Centennial, within Arapahoe County.
The City of Centennial has seen an increase in their unhoused population over the last two year. Due to this increase, they would like to provide additional resources and assistance to those experiencing homelessness in their community, in partnership with Arapahoe County. The specific needs of The City center around the need for direct outreach and resource sharing to those unhoused in the community, specifically in encampments.
Community Resources staff and The City of Centennial's staff have met and discussed the proposal to hire an Outreach Liaison position. This position would be funded fully by the City of Centennial, with supervision, equipment, and in-kind being provided by the county.
