Purpose and Request:

The purpose of this request is for the Board to adopt a resolution correcting Resolution No. 22-244BB adopted on September 13, 2022, which contains an error in the refund amount on parcel number 1973-24-1-15-001 for tax year 2021.

Background and Discussion: The Board adopted Resolution No. 22-244BB on September 13, 2022 approving the Petition for Abatement for Petitioner CJ CO, parcel number 1973-24-1-15-001 for tax year 2021. The incorrect original tax amount was used in the calculation of the refund. The correct refund is $11,796.40. The Board should adopt one (1) new resolution to properly set forth the correct refund amounts to the property owner.
Alternatives: None.
Fiscal Impact: Reduction in the amount of property taxes collected on an approved petition, and no decrease in the taxes collected on a denied petition.
