Purpose and Request:

The Department of Human Services (DHS) is providing information to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) on the current state of Public Assistance programs relative to timeliness of application processing and accuracy.

Background and Discussion: Due to the impact of COVID, many changes have occurred to many of the public assistance programs administered by DHS.  DHS would like to share the impact these changes have had on workloads and staff, as well as the management challenges that have arisen.  DHS would also like to show the efforts that have been made to address the needs of Arapahoe County residents. 

 

Fiscal Impact: None. 

 

Alternatives: This study session is to share information with the BOCC.
