Purpose and Request:
recommended action
Staff requests the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) approve and adopt a resolution to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the Southeast Public Improvement Metropolitan District (SPIMD) regarding the SPIMD funding share of the Dry Creek Operational Improvements Project, C20-005. Specifically, Staff requests the following actions:

1. Approval of the attached Intergovernmental Agreement between Arapahoe County and SPIMD for Dry Creek Operational Improvements Project, committing SPIMD to the project contribution in the amount of $742,000.00.

2. Authorization of the BoCC to allow Bryan D. Weimer, Director, to sign the IGA pursuant to Resolution for this BSR.

3. Authorization to invoice and receive SPIMD reimbursements in accordance with contractual obligations.

4. Authorization to budget the SPIMD Funds of $742,000.00 into Cost Center 424520020-54896 (Expense) and recognize the anticipated revenue of $742,000.00 into Cost Center 424520020-43129 per the IGA.

The Dry Creek Operational Improvements project converts the eastbound right-only lane to a through-right lane that continues east to the Inverness Drive East intersection. Instead of an eastbound right turn lane, drivers could use the lane to continue through the intersection before merging at the Inverness Drive East intersection, approximately 1,500 feet further east.
